
Michael Jakob
Michael Jakob is a Berlin-based climate economist specialising in the intersection of economics, policy, and sustainability. With over 15 years of experience, he’s advised governments, international organisations, and contributed to several IPCC reports.
His work focuses on designing climate policies that are both effective and socially just. Michael holds degrees in physics, economics, and international relations, and a PhD in environmental economics.
He’s the author of The Case Against Climate Doom, a freely available book challenging the dominant narrative of climate despair by highlighting real progress and economic tipping points driving the transition to a low-carbon future.
