Prof Dana R. Fisher
Dana R. Fisher is Professor in the School of International Service at American University and Director of the Center for Environment, Community & Equity. She is also a Nonresident Senior Fellow in Governance Studies at the Brookings Institution.
Dana is the author of Saving Ourselves: From Climate Shocks to Climate Action and American Resistance: From the Women’s March to the Blue Wave.
Her work focuses on climate policymaking, civil society, and activism, with a particular interest in what it will take to turn climate concern into meaningful action.
She has published widely, including in Nature, Science Advances, and PNAS, and served as a Contributing Author to Working Group III of the IPCC’s Sixth Assessment Report on citizen engagement and civic activism.
