Brad Hartwig

Brad Hartwig is the CEO of Arbor, where he sets the company’s direction and supports the team across engineering, operations, and strategy.

He previously worked at SpaceX, where he led the manufacturing, testing, and integration of the Draco rocket engine for the inaugural flights of Crew Dragon. He also supported NASA qualification of onboard astronaut supplies and survival gear. He later joined Kitty Hawk as a Flight Test Engineer and Test Pilot, helping develop novel electric aircraft.

Brad previously served as a volunteer for Marin County Search and Rescue and remains an active member of the 129th Rescue Wing of the California Air National Guard. He began an M.S. in Energy, Civil Infrastructure, and Climate Engineering at the University of California Berkeley before leaving the program to run Arbor full time. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California.
