Marco Krapels

Marco Krapels is Head of Global Energy Markets and Chief Marketing Officer at Enphase Energy, with more than 25 years of experience scaling and financing clean energy. Marco joined Enphase in 2021 and led market expansion, international sales, and worldwide business development across the Americas and Europe before being named CMO in 2025. Previously, he co-founded Micropower, a microgrid and battery storage as-a-service company, and ran international solar and storage expansion at Tesla. Before that, he was EVP of strategy and global markets at SolarCity. He also spent 18 years at Rabobank, where he led the bank’s early solar financing, and was a partner at Pegasus Capital Advisors. A longtime climate advocate, Marco co-founded The Solutions Project, which pushes for a 100% renewable energy future, and Empowered By Light, a nonprofit bringing solar microgrids to off-grid communities. He has also executive produced environmental documentaries, including Before the Flood.
